Overview
The warmest window for the money — the standard choice for homes.
Metal-plastic — PVC profiles with a galvanised steel core — is what most people picture when they think of new windows, and for good reason. The chambers inside the profile trap air, and trapped air is what actually keeps heat in. For a normal-sized domestic opening, nothing else gives you this much insulation for the money.
The steel reinforcement inside the profile is not a detail to gloss over. It is what stops a large sash sagging or bowing over the years, and it is the first thing a cheap window leaves out. We reinforce according to the size of the sash, not according to what is quickest.
Profiles come in white as standard, or laminated in wood grains and solid colours on one or both faces.
